When it comes to grilling this is something that all men take more seriously than taxes. This is a sacred ritual for us. It is an American tradition that's passed down from father to son. There is nothing that made me feel more important when I was a kid than getting to grill dinner for the family while my dad watched over making sure I cooked it to perfection.
Back then I was working with a tiny little charcoal grill that couldn't fit more than 5 burgers at a time.
When you go to look for grills these days you have two choices. You can buy one from home depot that is prefabricated and owned by everyone else in the neighborhood too or you can build one yourself.
If your looking to build one yourself or have one built for you, I recommend that, than make sure you set a budget before you begin looking at your options. Once you do down this road you and your backyard will never be the same.
When it comes to options for your grill you need to figure out what type of material you want to make your counter out of. Brick, stone, granite etc are all good choices. Some more expensive than others so make sure you also price these out.
Next you need to take a look at what types of drop in grills are available. This is easiest to do by typing your terms into Google. Cal Flame is also a very large supplier of custom grills and accessories.
When looking into these you will see that you have a few choices on the size of grill that you want. You can get a 3-Burner, 4-Burner, or a 5 Burner, You also need to figure out if you want a rotisserie as well. The rotisserie is more than just a rod in the middle that spins. It's an infared burner that has to be added to the grill itself when you order it.
Now you need to pick out grill accessories which include: smoke tray, sear zone burner, rotisserie basket and side burners.
Now that you have the basics of your grill you can get into the additional accessories for your grill station. These accessories can include kegerators, mini fridge, pizza oven, slide out chopping block and about 30 other options just depending on how much you want to spend.
